Valley Marine Mart has
been in the same location since 1952. Around the time Charlie Carter
who founded Carver boats and had a marine dealership in Green Bay
called Green Bay Mart came to the valley and started Valley Marine
Mart. He hired Al Wauters to run the store and also to build wood
cabinets and wood boat parts for his Carver boats. When Charlie
moved the wood shop up to Pulaski, Aland his wife Anna took over and
ran Valley Marine as a full service boat dealer. They handled many
of the most popular brands of boats from the 50's and 60's. In the
late 60's the shop was added to the show room. In the early 70's,
Al's brother in law, Llyle Jenks along with his wife Vena bought
into Valley Marine and ran it until 1984 when the present owner,
Doug Bodway bought it. Doug and his wife Sharon have shared the last
24 years getting their customers ban out on the water.
